Leah went to CCA for her MFA, where she worked closely with Ted. The “back painting” techniques she uses to get crisp, clean lines in her multicolored striped wall works was introduced to her by Ted. His influence on Leah was far more expansive than painting, and her two t-shirt designs reflect this span of shared interests, from notions of participation and the collaboration to an interest in food to the relationship of art and everyday life.

Color and process play a primary role in San Francisco-based artist Leah Rosenberg's work, which span painting, sculpture, printmaking, food, and performance. She has exhibited her work widely, as well as participating in numerous residencies internationally. She has developed many large-scale site-specific installations, including a recently completed work for the International Terminal at SFO. In addition to her work within the realm of the visual arts, Leah has pursued many adjacent creative practices as a means to connect to even larger audiences. She served as the head pastry chef at SFMOMA’s Blue Bottle Rooftop Cafe, internationally known for its inventive desserts inspired by artworks in the museum’s galleries. Her book, "The Color Collector’s Handbook," takes advantage of the possibilities afforded by broad distribution with the hope to connect everyone from everywhere through color. This passion for color and collaboration also led to her work as Creative Director for Color Factory in SF (2017) and NYC (2018).
